To prevent additional deficit work towards making trees mandatory, every 30 ft., every time a new sidewalk is created.
The Need. mitigate the climate crisis
Excerpt from Berkeley Earth Report 2023:
"We now consider there to be a 90% chance that 2023 has an annual-average temperature anomaly more than 1.5°C/2.7°F above the 1850-1900 average.
Unless sharp reductions in man-made greenhouse gas emissions occur soon, the long term average is likely to pass 1.5C during the 2030s."
Why 1.5C matters
Human body works perfectly at 98.6F. Anything higher than 100 is considered fever. And if there is no medical intervention, interconnected body organs start failing. That is equivalent to 1.5C rise for planet. At current trajectory, we are likely to hit 3C by the end of century.
